One day southern Sonora Mexico

Ginter Feb 04, 2007 07:50 PM

I spend all my kingsnake time over in the pinesnake realm but I thought you all might enjoy this share. While driving down an old road in the thornscrub forest of southern Sonora my Brother yells out, "Big.... black.....snake.......stop!" He was in the back of our trusty trooper, none of the rest of us even saw it. After about ten minutes of searching Travis did a home base dive and came up with this beauty! We took about 300 pics.... I only slightly exagerate.....and then watched her cruz off into the brush in the direction she was headed prior to our rude interuption.

VERY NICE! Looks like a Texas x Eastern mixed! Nice dark color and orange belly (like an eastern). And white and brown on the head (like a Texas).

Thanks for sharing your find over here in Drymarchonland.

That is a beautiful rubidus. How long was it? And yeah, post the other 299, we're waiting for eggs around here.
