If it was around here, there would be a lot of hunters licking their chops.

stating that hunters tended not to shoot these animals because they were so different. The letter was sent out to tell the hunters to shoot them because they did not want them to reproduce in the wild.

I wonder what an Albino Moose's antlers would look like, those are cool pics! Next time, try to stand right next to one and have someone else take your Pic, for size reference

I used to subscribe to an exotic animal breeder's magazine (Animal Finder's Guide), and there were always listings in there of pied and white whitetails. The whites, I assume, are leucies, though I suppose they could be albinos. Deer breeding is big business it seems, with people selling semen straws from males who produce gargantuan (100 point) antlers for thousands. And we thought this hobby was odd!

By the way Neil, the moose pics are great!

Across the highway,in the neighbors yard.Albino.

Saw this albino buck fawn 2 summers ago where I work.Bad pic.

You would think that pied or albino deer/moose would be PRIME targets for hunters.
Their pelts would make quite a trophy.

(I don't condone trophy hunting, but I don't see a problem with keeping a trophy if you use the rest of the animal. That's a completely different topic though)
