L.t. elapsiodes morphs...anyone?

dystopian Feb 05, 2007 05:59 PM

Already posted this over in the Kingsnakes forum, thought I'd post it here as well to 'increase my odds'. Apologies for the redundancy. -Trevor

Hi there,

Curious who here (or elsewhere, perhaps) might be working with elapsoides morphs.

I know that a few hypos have been found, I've heard (reliable source) that a 'speckled' animal exists, and I have personally seen the albino male recently captured in FL ...but is there anyone actively breeding for any of these (or other) traits?

Axanthic, perhaps?

ANY info would be most welcome, even if it's merely hearsay.

Thanks in advance!

Trevor

Hey Trevor,.........can't say I've heard of any new morphs other than the ones that you mentioned, but I'll never forget that albino I saw at Tampa expo. To think that a herpetoculturist was lucky enough to flip one upside-down while raking leaves is just "MIND-BLOWING" to me!. What are the odds of that!!?........10,000,000 to 1 maybe !!!!!!!!! later, Doug

I certainly never have that sort of luck. Hell, I still come up a loser at Blackjack - best odds in the house...yeah, right

Tony,....great looking snake!, I've always liked "scarlets". That was one of the first snakes I saw back as a kid, that inspired me to get into the hobby!!......An older kid around the corner had one in a cage, and I remember watching in total amazement at the sheer beauty of it.....it looked like it was "hand-painted" by an artist!!!LOL....that was 40 years ago, and I've loved snakes ever since..........................Doug

Beautiful animal Tony!

Male/female, cb/wc (locale), approximate age?

Perhaps I'll be able to get some more recent images of the albino (and post them, of course).

Don't hold your breath, but I'll see what I can do...

Looks more like a SC animal to me. Ken.
