Patternless Albino Male

PrehistoricPets Feb 05, 2007 09:31 PM

We posted this one a while ago, but I can't remember if it was on this forum or not. Anyway, I just wanted to share for those who may have seen him before. He is looking great and he is breeding for us, so we shall see if his genetics pass on to the next generation. Thanks for looking.

where's the white one (smiles)? So you think you could mix him into a different strain and get an all white one eventually? Is there a strain where there would be white instead of yellow, such as bobs other strain of albinism or the Baldogo strain??? (I am not sure if that's different from bobs #2 strain , I heard it was) I know eventually someone will figure it out. BTW stunning animal!!!

So far, the closest thing is the Ivory/White Fire retic, but that has some color to it. I am not sure if an all white (or lavender or purple) snake will be produced or not. We think that something might come from an Albino Titanium, or maybe even an Albino Golden Child. The Baldogo Strain and Clark Type 2 are the same strain, and with the way that they change as they get older, that strain might have a better chance of producing an all white snake, but it would take some time for it to fully change. The snake pictured is actually an Albino Super Tiger. It was born with a little bit of pattern, but as it got older the yellow really overtook it, leaving the beautiful yellow snake with a snow white belly! Thanks for the comments!

That's just breathtaking!! Did you import him?

PrehistoricPets Feb 06, 2007 11:17 AM

Thanks! It is actually an Albino Super Tiger, or at least hatched from a clutch with Albino Super Tigers. It has some pattern at birth, but as it aged the yellow took over and the pattern faded to all yellow.

is the retic forum, but could you post some pic's of your most pattern-less African Rocks. I got 2 possible hets from Bob and they are gorgeous overlooked ophidians that I can't wait to breed!! I didn't even try to get pos hets, that's all he had when I purchased a pair of rocks. BTW they are a lot tamer captive bred than wild caught for certain. Someone I know got them for half what I paid and sold them when they hit 10 foot because they didn't stop behaving like a "typical" wild caught animal. Mine are wirery (ssp) like a black racer less the biting and are over 10 feet and ready to breed already.

the "Python Forum" and you will find a pic. I don't want to post here, since it's not a retic.

He has been busy, so we might get to see some of his offspring in a couple of months! Hopefully everything will work as planned!
