Regurge?

FloridaHogs Feb 06, 2007 11:28 AM

I have had a 200 g female since the beginning of November. She ate a mouse a week until mid Dec. Then she ate and regurged 3 days later. The same thing the next time she ate. Then went into shed. Finally ate again and regurged the next day. She has a cool humid hide and a warm hide, with the warm hide hovering right at 90. Water available at all times. She shows no signs of illness except for the regurge. Is alert and active. Any thoughts as to what might be causing this problem? Will parasites cause regurge?

By any chance was she CH or WC if that is the case she could have an infestation of roundworms, DO NOT try to feed her again. instead soak her 2x a day in warm water mixed with unflavored pedialyte 50/50. This will help introduce electrolytes back into her system. Take her to the vet and have a fecal done and let us know the results and outcome.

No way to get a fecal, she has nothing to poo. I do have panacur though. No idea if she was CH, CB, or WC. The guy recieved her in a group as trade. She is an 06, and ate great for me 6 times before the regurge started.

Try something small and hairless.

I've never had to do this with balls, but sometimes with small boas.

Usually a meal or 2 this way and they get the idea.

Hope it all works out.

well, if you fed her/him too fast, and he didn't hav time to digest the other one than her/him will regurge. and i kno they dont need uva and uvb light to digest but try it, my has never regurged and i hav the uvb lights on him. and if that dont work, soak 'em.
