How common are twins in Bearded Dragons? more

amazoa May 21, 2003 07:02 AM

I just had two bearded dragons emerge from one egg. Wondering how common this is and like in humans could it be genetic? I have separated the two from the others and will be growing them up to see for myself but figured with all the knowledge here someone has been there and done that. I would love to hear from you if you have some experience with this. I'll post pics of the twins when I get home this evening. Cya Richard "amazoa"

It's certainly not common, but it does happen. Bojack (dragon-planet.com) had some a while back, but as I recall they didn't survive (which doesn't mean yours won't).
Good Luck!! Will be watching for pics.

I had two seperate babies emerge from one egg last year. I didn't seperate them, but to my knowledge they survived.

Deborah, of Deborah's Dragons, had twins hatch last June. Here's a link to her page that follows the progress of them. I saw them last year when I adopted Priz from her, & they were ADORABLE!
