We still have single-digit temperatures in Cleveland.
I can't wait to get out and find some snakes (although it will probably be awhile before that happens).

Yeah- it was weird out here... we had 3 straight days of high 60°/low 70° weather- it just felt like SOMETHING had to be out.

It's back again today to being overcast/rainy and low to mid 50's.

I'm not used to it out here yet. (we moved out to Austin, TX from San Diego this past August)

When we got here, it was SOOOO hot that NOTHING was out, and then SOOOO cold.

In San Diego, it was EASY to find snakes by comparison weather wise... I think I need to make some adjustments... 8-D

Where oh where is ToddH???

I am here and looks like you met our hardiest member in s. Texas! Pics didn't show for me but I made similar discoveries yesterday at McFaddin Wildlife Refuge near the Tex/Louis. border. Also seen were slender glass lizard, green tree frogs and numerous skinks. It will bust out in about 4 weeks, then it is ON! Can't make the Arlington show, too far, but we will toss a few out! I want you to be ready when we find a timber in a few!

Todd, do you know about the herp database at www.naherp.com and the NAFHA chapters===>>> NAFHAsouthcentralChapter?

We need some TX herpers to add to the database! You'll enjoy TX herping!

That is a sweet Sidewinder! Where did you find it? Looking at that pic, it appears huge for such a small species of snake.

Nice pics, and great find!

Thanks Jason!

I found him road cruising in Anza Borrego this past September...

Your pic of a green? AWESOME snakes, too- those have my ABSOLUTE respect!!!

Here's another shot of the same guy.
