KS classified pic loading format slow?

Bluerosy Feb 06, 2007 11:43 PM

Is it just me or is the new upgraded clasifieds "pic" section slow? When i click on a pic in an ad it takes a few seconds to turn the screen black and then this little box slowly opens. Maybe it took just as long as before.. I don't know.. Maybe its just watching that box open up makes it seems like it lasts forever . I find myself spending less time in the clasifieds section looking at ads. i hope this does not effect others the same way it does me.

I agree, they do seem a bit slower. I enjoyed them when they were pop-ups, because I could leave a picture up and look at it again a bit later if I wanted to. The only feature I like in this new picture viewing format is that you can click "Prev" or "Next" and see the other pictures fairly quickly.

I don't think it's significantly slower but I agree the old way was better because you could leave multiple pics up allowing you to compare different animals.

I agree. I also have that box from the homepage (under "Home, Recently Posted," etc.) which often overlaps the pics and seems impossible to get rid of. It's very annoying.

I think it is a wee bit slower, but now you can look at all three pics in succession without having to click back to the ad, by using the "next" tab.

If anything a slower photo section might prevent impulse buying, but if I know what I am looking for, I will take the extra time to see what is for sale. Good pics, good animals and good service/reputation will overcome technology every time.

now I wish that I only had to sign in one time to go from the forums to the classifieds to the photo gallery. Basically, when I walk in the door, say hello once, not at every room I enter.

Problem with me is I like EVERYTHING.

It loads very fast for me. Kingsnake also uses cutting edge forum software, never deletes your posts on the forums, and is basically the best herp site one could hope for. I don't know anyone who uses it just because it's the only site that everyone checks.
