Breeding Q for Patrick Powers

rugha Feb 07, 2007 11:04 AM

Patrick

I have a proven breeder albino male that is trying to breed my tiger het, who is roughly 3.5 years old, about 14-15' and healthy. She just will not have anything to do it seems - urinates all over the place. Is it just a timing thing with retics where some females will go earlier and some later?

Thanks man!

Is she still eating? It is very possible that she is not ready yet. If she is still eating, this is especially true. What you can do is every 4-5 days, put the male in with her for a day or two. That will sometimes get the female in the mood or put the idea in her head that there is more to life than food! Anyone else have any thoughts?

Yes, still hammering away at food. She just shed and wants something to eat. I put the male in for about 10 minutes yesterday and she urinated everywhere.

Leave the male in for a few days?

I would only leave Him in for 24 hrs. or so. Then like Mr. Powers said, put Him back in after 3-4 Days. Also, i seemed to do well when putting Him in after Dark!
One more thing, make Her next meal 'Smaller', then introduce the Male 3-4 days Later. (in the PM)
Hope this helps!
Craig.
