Getting N. Pine to Eat?

stephenNYC Feb 07, 2007 11:28 AM

My 6' female N. pine went off feed about two months ago. I know this is normal for this time of year but I've been trying to get her going again. I recently moved her into a new 55' gallon enclosure and she was active for a day or two but now it appears that she's bedded down again. I have a 100 and 150 watt heat emitter over her and my 06' male that lives with her is eating like a feind. Any suggestions?

with one simple solution for both you and your pine -- BRUMATE. Why go through the stress? Besides, it'd be much more natural that way. The other recommendations are good, of course, but it can be taxing on both ends of the endeavor. Besides, I've never seen a cereal box big enough to fit a 6 foot pine. LOL.
If you do not have an area that is fit for proper brumation, contact me as I am in the NYC area. I'd be happy to help.

A seven foot pine could easily fit into any empty cereal box. They like tight hide spots! Kevin
