Herp trip question.

jazonsm1th Feb 07, 2007 08:04 PM

Im planing a herp trip in mid March. Im not sure if im going to go to towards Az. or stay in Cal. Does anyone have any input on where I should go. This is gonna be my first trip of this sort, it will be 5 days. What areas will be best for this time of yr? Thanks for your responses.

I would stay in SoCal. Arizona isn't as productive in March in my experience. If they get some rain in SoCal, it can be even better.

I will be taking my son and father with my 4 wheel drive out near Smith Valley NV later this month for a herp trip. I have nott been there in 2 years but last time I was there near the Walker River there were more lizards than we could shake a stick at but unfortunatly we saw only 2 road kill snakes.
