I use papertowels in a coolwhip container with a hole cut in the side.I've heard of using spahgnum moss. It is good because it has natural acidic properties that keep it from molding. You soak it in water then squeeze it out and put it into the humid hide.

I would stick with papertowels and mist them 2 a day to gkeep it a humid hide. Moss is fine yes, but some say it is more of a hassle then anything. Just papertowels is fine!
I use moss in hides for a lot of my animals. Because of the acidic properties, it really lasts forever. Never molds, compared to paper towels that seem to mold super fast. Also, when you wet it, you can compress it into a specific shape, and it tends to hold that shape, so it doesn't spill all over the cage like vermiculite or coconut husk will.
And, if any of those dry out, they make a mess everywhere. Papertowels stick to the container when they dry. Vermiculite & coconut husk end up spilled all through the cage.
You can really use anything that will hold moisture. It's all a matter of personal preference. Try things until you find something you like.
I think you may have it backwards buddy, Papertowels don't mold at all, or at least i have never had any papertowels mold on me. You are to replace it often as well to make it fresh and clean, i wouldn't want to be in something that wasn't cleaned in months. Yes moss is good but if replaced properly it can get expensive and just a hassle. It also does mold and molds alot quicker then anything i have used!
