Lori Ball?? Info? Photos??

BackBeat Feb 08, 2007 11:24 AM

What's the story on the Lori Ball?
At this point I can't recall seeing photos, and only know that it was named for Lori Barczyk of BHB.

Has it been proven genetic?
Does anyone have any photos to show us?

Brian, photos? Please?

Pretty please, Mr. Barczyk, sir??

I've only seen one poor quality photo of the super and it is unreal...reminds me alot of the super spotnose only more "linear" if that makes sense. There's some photos of Lori's at Celia's site I think. But I am with you on the request to the man himself..Brian, please bring photos to the masses.

And they have been proven co-dom as Justin said, the Lori's themselves aren't much to look at who knows what they could unlock when crossed into other mutations

Tosha I don't know if it is a Lori or not, but I am 100% sure that is a hot looking ball python. There are definate similarities, but with the more "subtle" morphs it takes breeding it out to say for sure. Good luck, and again really sweet looking ball.

LOL - Thanks Kevin - Yeah - they look alot a like but I'm not counting chickens until something hatches.

BTW - did you see that Rolf hatched out a clutch of Moluccans a couple of weeks ago!!! If not check the Morelia forum.

Checked out the post, and those are some great pics! The photos do a good job of showing-off the beauty of Mols.

Here is the only picture I have of the Super Lori Ball. It is not a very good one but it is the only one that is in circulation as far as I know.

So, my impression from the photos is that the Lori Ball is a genetic blackback with 'hypoxanthic' colouration, and the Super Lori seems to get a 'double-dose' of the hypoaxanthic making it QUITE axanthic looking. Not to mention some great speckles/squiggles in the crazy aberrant side pattern.

From just the one photo of the Super Lori I clearly see why there's buzz about this new co-dom.

I'm going to assume Brian and Lori Barczyk are either incredibly busy or incredibly modest breeders.
Because if I had some of the absolutely jawdropping animals they do, I'd be showing them off bigtime. lol

Congrats to BHB on another new knockout gene in the Ball complex.
