Good luck on that pairing, I hope you hit nice odds and get a nice big clutch of mostly clowns. My 50% het clown/oddball is breeding a normal female right now. I'm hoping to get a few out of her that look just like daddy but if not there's still a chance I'll get a het clown or two and I'll definitely be getting that 100% het female this season. Never ended up getting one last season because some things fell through. Regardless, it's my first season breeding so I'll be happy if I get a clutch that turns out to be 100% normal!

Thanks John - she's a little on the smallish side than I'd like - she was up just past 1500 grams at the start of the season but dropped down in the past couple of months - so I hope she lays enough eggs to at least covers the 1/4 possibility of getting a clown.

Good luck to you - the first clutch is amazing and the first pip will send you over the moon! Even if they do end up all being normals. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you - FYI I hear that Joe Pesci is the guy to pray to.

I've never seen a labial pattern like that on a ball. Maybe it just seems that way because of the extreme close up?

Up close the rest of the head pattern looked like a ball. When you pull back it's obvious!
