Better pet: male or female

eelnoob Feb 08, 2007 03:28 PM

Well I have finally found a source for the color that I always wanted in a Bearded Dragon and most likely will be making a purchase. Just wondering, does males make better pet than females, or vice versa or it just really depends on the individual? BTW if I do go thru with purchase this will be my first Beardie.

If you get one, I'd recommend a male. Especially if it is a first dragon. Males have a more diverse personality generally and you don't have to worry about nest boxes or egg binding. Females lay eggs (infertile) even without a male and accomodations must be made for this.
