Need help with CRESTED and Leopard gecko

legalizefreedom Feb 08, 2007 05:08 PM

30x12x12

I have a tank that is 30"L by 12"W by 12"H
Is that big enough for 2 full grown crested geckos or 2 fullgrown leopard gecko?
I'm trying to choose which species to purchase, but I need to know if i can rule one species out just by the size of my tank?

Well, it is an ok size for 2 adult female leopard geckos to live in, you'd want it to be tall not long for cresteds.

Why two? Are you planning on breeding or just looking to fill the space? You could always block off part of the enclosure for one leopard gecko. I would highly suggest getting one full grown until getting another, just because there is some bit of a learning curve... at least that is the rule in our house. Gotta successfully grow one before getting another.

Check out "The leopard gecko manual" or the complete guide to rhacs for more information. Also check out the subforums here for both kinds, good luck.

Reptiles don't really interact with eachother unless they are mating.... Most of the facts out there actually show that most, if not all, reptiles prefer to be left alone.
