New cage ideas and inspiration pics

TJG Feb 08, 2007 10:01 PM

I was looking for new ideas on this forum (and others) and didn't realy see anything new. I'm trying to come up with some background ideas for my adult Jungle Carpet Python's new cage. I would like to cast my own background yo similate rock or build in shelves. Anyway heres some enclosures I have built in the past, maybe others can draw some ideas from what I have done and be inspired, thanks for looking~!

Some more

I just got finished decorating a "fish tank", and it looks pretty good. To dress it up, I got some thin pieces of rock/slate from a local brick store and glued them to the side wall. For protection, I also propped them up using bricks and then covered the bricks with sand so you can see them. You might notices that I even did a little bit of overlapping of two of the stones to minimize the gaps between the rocks and give it a 3-D effect. And finally, in a real mountain, you will find rocks that have eroded at the base, so I ran rocks along the bottom of the slate walls. Also gives it a more manicured look.

Hope this helps.
