? about the glow before the go.

Ok, now the last female that gave me eggs a couple years back didn't really seem to glow. Now I was looking through some pics from this season and one of my females was glowing back at the begining of January. She's normally nice and dark but I'll let the pics explain themselves. The first pic is from 8/30/06. The second pic is from 1/1/07 which is a month prior to her last shed on Feb. 1st.
Now my question is: Do they glow before their pre-lay shed or just before laying their eggs?

not exactly sure.........not sure they all glow.....I think they can glow and not go.......I had males glow all the time.....winter brings out the glow in colubrids....while brumating they really get good color.......

I would think.....glow then shed again later for laying........they are probably ovulating around this month and next and lay 2 months from now.....and on and on......egg laying season takes 3 months here.....

I'll just have to keep a close eye on her for the next couple months. Now if only my larger female would ovulate or give me some sign of a promising season. She last weighed in at 3700 grams and has been with both my pastel and het orange ghost.
