Anyone Work with OrangeTail Hypos? Dupx

DavidKendrick Feb 10, 2007 01:59 AM

Whats your opinion on them? I have two, thought they where a pair, and was excited to raise them up and breed them, but both turned out to be MALE...uuugggg

Just curious what you guys thought of them? And curious if anyone else works with them?

Definitly some nice looking orange tails you got there. Bottom two pics showed up great, if they turned out to be males i'd try and find a couple female pastels for em. I think theres a sub adult female summit pastel on the classifieds, mike make interesting offspring.

I see alot of orange tails available. There quite popular. Though salmons might be more common.

Thanks. I purchased him from Ed Lilley of ConstrictorsNW. He was sold as dominant and has all the markers. So hoping he proves out

Nice looking harlequins. You won't remember me but i had a conversation with you about your red line before they were available(via email). It was a while ago, and since then i have been trying to remember the name of your site. Glad you posted that pic with your name on it. Now that they are available il' definitly have to contact you within the next few months... that is if there still available.

Anyway i was curious if you have ever crossed that line out to other morphs...pastel, hypo, albino, normal? And if so whether or not the red still showed up strong. Or is that line more reliant on both parents carrying the trait? Have you found all offspring to express the trait when both the parents where from the red-line? How many offspring express the trait when only one of the parents was from the red line?

Anyway i absolutely love your boas. There not orange, there not pink. Their RED. Seriously their my favorites.

I agree with VaranusAqua.
While it's not great that they're both males, I'd just get mates for each.
Nice snakes!

I dont know what the "real" definition of an orange tail hypo is but if its just a matter of a hypo with thats realy orange then here you go. He's way better in person. The last 3 pics are of the girl hes breeding this year. IM STOKED FOR BABIES!!!!
