you should snap his neck and save on the cost of feeding him, BMK's are suppose to be brown..(bowel movement king?), not black...JUST KIDDING...don't do that!!! A MBK is black. What makes you feel he's unhealthy?

no i personaly think is is 100% healthy im jus ttrying 2 see if anyone disagrees with that. he also loves being handled ^.^

though your right, it's kind of tough to tell based on these photos. Your snake looks very young and small, so I would just suggest being real careful holding him/her. Let the snake just glide carefully through your hands, using both is best, without letting it fall from height. I learned form experience, and found they can get away from you and also don't like being held too tight and bent in awkward positions. I wouldn't hold it too much, especially after eating or before shedding, since you will just stress it out. Good luck, they're beautiful snakes as they grow larger. Jim

I like your picture..

Kingsnakes.. Fishtank.. and a ton of DVD's.. All you need is a few G-Loomis fishing poles and it could be my house!

Get a flute, sit down in the floor with your legs crossed, and play to the snake while gently rocking back and forth.

Put a small bowl or cap over it then focus on the bowl, when you have the camera ready lift and shoot the pic.

very very very nice!

RavenSkyfire Feb 13, 2007 06:41 PM

Here's a couple of pics of my MBK. I've had him since the beginning of January and I swear he's already put on a couple of inches.

I really need to get some more pics of him as these are kinda old.

Manda,
Ditto here for my male.

He shed last night, and he's grown 6" since September according to my records!

My female is growing WAY slower... she's not quite the garbage disposal the male is!

Garbage disposal is a great description for Damien. He does not mess around when it comes to dinner time. My corns will take their time, explore the feeding tub, and in general ignore their dinner. Damien takes all of about a minute to get down to business, he loves dinner time. He'd probably eat every day if I offered. Don't have a female to compare him to though. May have to fix that in the future sometime.
