Im not sure how well your BT behaves in the car, but mine is a holy terror!! My b-friend was driving and I had Hewey on the floor in between my feet(harnessed of course). I had given up holding him in my lap because he was too squirmy and actually ripped my shorts. Anyways, my b-friend and I were conversating, and Hewey was sniffing around my feet and ankles(I was wearing sandals). All of a sudden i felt something more than a flicker, but a slight grasp around my foot! I looked down very quickly, and in time to see his huge mouth all the way around the lower part of my bare foot! I moved it before his jaws closed, but boy did that scare the cr*p out of me!!! I cant imagine the damage he would have done, considering hes used to crushing the skulls of adult rats with those jaws!! Eeek!!
I think Im going to invest in a dog crate!!

I'm right hereYour feet must smell really good to get a response like thatThat's real lucky that it didn't bite you.I have to keep my BT in a big dark box with a towel in it.She hates the noises when riding in the car.She also looks out the windows and freaks out sometimes(so do a lot of the other drivers that see her!).I had a water monitor that got huge abscesses on it and I couldn't figure it out.Turned out to be the water she was soaking in.I felt real bad considering that was the same water that I drank from out of the faucetToo much Chlorine or something in it.

one time, just for [bleep]s'n'giggles, we decided to use the chlorine tester for our pool on the tap water. the tap water was nearly as chlorinated as the pool. scary, eh?? of course this was many years ago but still...

I let my water monitors swim in the pool and they do not get any Ill effects at all from it. I don't allow them in right after I chlorinate it but still it does have chlorine in when they are in there.

I would look elsewhere for the problem. Perhaps the bosc is kept to humid? Would need to know about the setup and cage to know for sure.
