Eve, Genevieve, and The Addam's family.

I was quite surprised by Eve, first off she is thin as a rail. Normal length and has that large head look to her indicating she is no spring chicken. Not necessarily ancient, just not a youngster. Her total weight is 1057 grams or just under 2.3 lbs. Still looks good though A nice red individual with motled crescents. With feeding and fecal exams/treatments if she has internal parasites, she should bulk up nicely. She has been totally tame, not struck at me once (yet). Today she was soaking and pooped in the water (darn, first fecal opportunity down the drain) as I drained off the water holding her in she just hung out with me including several rinses. Once she and the bowl were mostly clean, I put her back in the cage and finished cleaning the bowl. Afterwards was when I weighed her and all the rest.

Genevieve weighed in at 47 grams (after a little poop) and is the heaviest of the babies. I am still stunned by the ammount of striping in her sides. Besides the long stripe on each side (one of which I estimate to be 12 linked patterns) there are many and I do mean MANY linked patterns in smaller groupings. Other than the tail area, it's hard to find one side pattern not linked to it's neighbor.

The Addam's family (Gomez, Fester, Lurch, Pugsly, Thing, Morticia and Wednesday) all weighed in at 38, 39, 40, 40, 43, 44 and 46 grams (not in order as I have not assigned names to individuals yet). All are doing well. They are all normal looking BRB's, they have varying degrees of crescent blotching like mom and a little bit of connected side markings but nothing like the striped hypo.

Lighting really sucks in the Q-room and with positive sighting of about 8 mites so far, not willing to risk anything just for pics. So, Y'all just gonna have to wait for a week or two to see what I get to see every day

Funny thing with the mites is other than the first one found crawling on my hand after putting the babies away, all have been found in the same tub, a male that shed during transit. Maybe they like the fresh skin? None have been sighted in any other tub or in mom's cage either.....so far!!

Thanks for sharing that with us Dave and you can't go wrong with a name like Fester either Eve is a little thin but I'm hoping she'll be ready for you next season. Good luck with the mites and I can't wait to see pics of Eve and especially little Fester.
