Here it is! Normal but I love it! I'll get better pics after the week of leaving it alone is over. On a side note - how long is the quarantine period before it can be in the same room as my other ball?

I usually quarantine babies for about 1-1.5 months. If that is a heat rock get rid of it, and get you an undertank heater. It will be MUUUUUUUUCH safer for the new baby or any snake for that matter.

Luckily, It looks like a hide. Hole in the front. Why do they still sell heat rocks? Are they safe for anything?

flashback I thought that black was part of the snake (I didnt inspect the picture that well), NOW I see its a hole.

they're not safe for anything but people are dumb and still buy them.

its kinda like selling baby turtles or hermit crabs in itty bitty plastic cages, and then people wonder why they die within a few months.

Speaking of stupid people. I saw a lady at the pet store last week buying her daughters a guinea pig and she bought the poor thing a 10 gallon tank to live in.

*cringe* the petstore should know better than to sell to people like that...oi. That poor pig

Thanks, but it is not a heat rock. I know all about that! It is a hiding spot and there is an undertank mat on it already. Thanks though!

cute snake! As for the 'normal', give it a couple of years and the 'evil morph cartel' will be overthrown and the 'normals' will take their rightful place back at the top of the 'wish lists' again! - hey if it was good enough for God, who am I to argue?! - before i get blasted it was a joke!

I love the 'normals' cuz no two of them are the same. They are light, dark and in between. Some have crazy patterns while some have reduced patterns. I do have to admit that I chose this one from a tank of about twenty. I did chose it for it's healthy appearance but they all had that. After that I chose for color and pattern. This one has very few alien eyes. I think there are only four or five of them. Then towards the tail between each gold/tan spot is a very nice blush mark for about seven consecutive times. It also has a very light colored head. There is also no black in the center of the belly on it. Just at the outside.

There aren't many breeders in my area and my vet can't probe. He doesn't know how. He claims to know a guy that he can recommend but didn't freely do so last time I was there. I would like to get this one and the one that I bought in June 2005 sexed. Does anyone live in PA near Altoona?
