Mosaic Cal Kings - Lookin' for some info

byron.d Feb 12, 2007 01:12 PM

Anyone here know where this morph originated...??

I have a group that consists of animals from two different breeders and I can see slight differences in each line.

I cant seem to nail down the who's or where's they first came from..... All I really know is that the gene is dominant.

Any info would be much appreciated..

I know that B.H.B. had them 5-6 years ago...probably should have gotten a pair when the opportunity was there. Have you talked to Brian from B.H.B. about them?

on the BHB site years ago, but haven't talked to Brian about them.
Actually, I called him just today about a different Cal king project he was working a few years ago.... Purple Passion Cal kings... I think they're a patternless lavender Cal king. I've never seen one though.. Only heard about them. I'll ask him about the Mosaics when I talk to him again.

Thanks Kerby!

I saw the purple passion cal kings he had at the Daytona show last year. They looked like regular cal kings to me. I looked at him and thought he was crazy because there was nothing purple about them.. He said the project was not finished but still wanted an exorbatant price for them. Something about the genetics will look great someday. I think the name he assigned them is far greater than what they really are, at least the ones I saw at the show. Maybe he has some better ones but I have never seen any pics.

I've never seen one in person and I have never even seen a picture of one.
