Hondo Question

4tl4s Feb 12, 2007 01:32 PM

I recently Purchased a Hondo.

I believe his Parents were a Tricolor Hypo het-Anery and a DH Ghost.

The Breeder said he is Hypo, poss. het Anery

Can someone explain the differences in Hypo, Anery, Het, abberant, etc

Also is the circular markings a desirable/ commom etc instead of the bands?

yes the "abberant pattern" is more desirable to some but others like clean normal bands.
abberant means the pattern of the snake is not within the scopes of what a normal animals pattern would look like

hypo means reduced melanin or black
anery means no reds or yellows( all black and white)
het stands for heterozygous meaning a snake does not physically look like its special but its carrying the genes for it. so when paired with another het animal or an animal that is showing the genes some of its resulting offspring will show the trait
