I would like to thank K for the reply.I live in the New York City area.We used to have a store called Fang and Claw which disappeared in the 80's.Now there is no reptile life outside of your local petland store where I don't even look forward to buying rats for my new baby blood if and when I ever get around to it.Anyway one day I met a man named Buddy Shapiro who I believe still works with reptiles.I am interested in finding out where I might contact this person.A Google search did not show anything.Requesting any info or any suggestions. Thanks again Harold

Don't know much about reptile people or places, but there's plenty of places online that sell rats ... check the classifieds or do a quick google search.

Hey Harold,
You worked with Aldo???? shoot, I was about 16 years old when I first met Aldo, and there was also, a guy that worked for Aldo named Jose. Not the nicest guy, but alright. I guess he just didn't trust too many people (Jose) I guess. At any rate, I loved that place and gained much valuable information from Aldo at the time...1976 to be exact. I am now 46 years old, so you can imagine that was quite a long time ago. I remember Aldo, worked for the BX zoo reptile house for a little while prior to opening up F & C. He was a very knowledgeable and very helpful individual with no chip on his shoulder. He was always ready to answer every and any question that I had for him. I recall him teaching me a very important lesson in telling P. M. Molurus, apart from P. M. Bivittatus. The lesson was very valuable indeed. Also taught me to tell the differences apart B.C.I vs B.C.C. It was there that I first also, fell in love with B.C.Ortoni! Now not fully recognized at all as a true SSP. I will always remember those days and the lessons learned from Aldo. It was also the place I first laid eyes on my first Chondro. Now I own quite a few of them my self. Any how, getting back to your question: yes! I digressed quite a bit, but I couldn't help my self knowing someone else shared that experience. I know Buddy very well, but I haven't seen him in a long time. I know he sold or closed the shop down in the east village. I don't know more than that. I could try finding him or asking around when I am down in that area. I know people that know Buddy too. He use to buy Elaphe and Lampropeltis from Elaphe Studio back in the eighties. He is a great guy. He owned a T shirt making shop for years coupled with the rescue operation. Any how, I will stop here. Take care- Angel
