Captive Bred Dwarf Caiman Availability

DavidY Feb 12, 2007 05:41 PM

Are P. palpebrosus being captive bred here in the US? If so, how hard are they to find (i.e. availability, cost, etc.). Are the babies that are wild caught usually in good health. I always prefer to get cb animals as they are less prone to be infected by parasites, etc. I wasn't sure if these guys are being bred around here though. Thanks!

All of the dwarfs are wc animals. They are very cheap coming out of Guyana. Ronnie

Thanks for the reply. I guess wc is the only way to go with this species then.
