Bedding for a black throat monitor?

MyLizardOwnsMe Feb 13, 2007 01:35 PM

I've looked in a lot of places for bedding, but keep getting conflicting advice. What would be the best bedding for a juvinile black throat?

A nice deep layer of burrowable soil. It has been covered here many times, do a search through the archives. There is specific types of dirt that work better than others, your monitor will tell you what it prefers by how it behaves. Proexotics has some good info on the subject in their FAQ aswell.

a good burrowable soil would be the first choice. cypress mulch a distant second.
