More pictures of the new Corn (Doug)

dakski Feb 13, 2007 09:41 PM

Here are some pictures of Doug with my Fiance (Maria). Also, here is a picture of his most recent poop (he happily ate a mouse two days ago). It looks pretty normal to me. The last one didn't look so good, but the poor guy had been without heat and water for a while - so I wasn't surprised.

Any thoughts are welcomed.

Doug,
WOW- you lucked out! I am glad you took in the lil'baby and are happily enjoying the new member of your family!!! Sounds like he's in better hands! Good Luck!

Oh, I don't think I was clear. We named him (the new corn) Doug. My name is David. In any event, I want to keep him, but we are a little overcrowded here in the COndo and not planning on upgrading to a house any time soon. My fiance is thinking about finding a GOOD home, but we are still debating the issue. Space aside, he's tame as anything, seems to be a good eater, and is very pretty in my opinion (my Fiance prefers our young Lavander corn - I can't say I blame her, but I like this guy too).

We have the following:

A 240G 8FT fish tank with Frontosa's (big African Cichlids), a 55G for the Frontosa Fry, a 90G Mbuna Tank, a 20G Shell Dweller tank, a beta in a 2G, 1 Lavender Corn (06 baby) in a 15G, 1 Adult Corn (HYPO) in a 30G, and a Orange/Red Color Morph bearded dragon in a 120G.

We have at least one tank in every room but the bedroom and spare bedroom.

Where do you find the space and money for all of those tanks? My biggest tank is a 29.

David,.......that snake is gonna' have a great life now that it's with you guys, it looks fabulous!.......By the way, the poop looks normal(utterly disgusting)!!LOL. nothing good looking about snake poop, is there!!LOL...In case you were wondering what all the white stuff is in the poop, it is "uric acid". That really is a great example of a hypo, the belly probably has just slight hints(if any) of melanin(black pigment)......Oh, I'm almost afraid to ask how it got it's name!,....is it because the snake is full of crap as well!!LOL......anyway, the snake's happy,..you're happy..........best regards,.............Doug

The name just "came to me." In any event, he actually has a decent amount of black pigment on his belly, but not really anywhere else. Does this still mean he's a hypo or could he be something else? I don't really care either way, I am just curious.

Thanks

David

P.S. I can post a picture of his belly if anyone is interested.

No,....it is still 100% hypomelanistic(meaning greatly reduced melanin)(black/brown pigment)...........................Doug
