Hey Matt:
A small tank like that to start with would be good for a Leopard Gecko, a Sandfish or two, A Schneider's Skink, or Ocellated Skinks. all of these species are relatively easy to care for.

id go with at least a 20 long for schneiders. they can get to almost 10-14 inches. most of them at pet stores are wc so the are already decent size.

Hey Matt:
Good choice. Though commonly available they are one of the finest pet lizards. I have several myself. They are easy to care for and can become quite tame. A couple of mine take food from my hands. There is also a wealth of information out there on the species as well as a forum right here on kingsnake.

You can have about 3 or four dune geckos in a ten gallon tank at their adult sizes of 3-4 inches. Very cool lizards, my personal favorite geckos; they're usually about $10-15
