Photoperiods and rubermaids

BrandonR Feb 15, 2007 01:39 PM

I have my balls in tanks right now, and for as long as I've had them, they've been in tanks. Im thinking of switching to rubbermaids, but really, how do you manage to provide them with appropriate day/night times???

thanks,

Brandon

What type fo rubbermaids were you thinking? Cause all the ones I see here, are clear so I dont see a problem with day/night periods.

Since balls don't really care a whole lot about light, being burrowers, photoperiods don't matter a whole lot. You can also go with the clear tubs like mentioned above

I started using a rheostat when I started using tubs and all I do is turn the dial down a bit at night. I did use a thermometer with a high/low record setting to make sure temps were what I wanted when I wasn't there. Then again, there's a school of thought ( I know someone on this forum has observed this) that there doesn't need to be any change in temperature at all at night for balls to thrive, so it's up to you.

G'luck!
