blaze555 Feb 15, 2007 01:49 PM

I am interested in getting me a pair. I was just wanting some info on them. There arn't too many pictures out there that I could find so if anyone has any that they could post I apprestate it. Whats the normal price on them? Are they any different than the normal cape?

do some image searched for "cape cobras" or "Naja Nivea" you will get some yellow results.

As for being different. They are nice looking however the yellow is a normal color variation in this species. There are some localities hith a higher population of the yellows. However this is not a genetic variation, pair of yellows will produce browns, blacks, speckleds mohogany etc etc. As will a pair of browns might produce some yellows. Now that being said a pair of yellows will have a higher tendancy to produce yellows then a pait of browns.

Price on yellows tend to be in the $200 mark for babies however dont hold me to this as i have not seen many available as of late

Attached is a pic of my breeder male.

Another thing to keep in mind... If I'm not mistaken a lot of the babies will appear yellow, but very few will actually stay yellow until they are adults.

Thanks guys. And yes most babies that I've come across have been yellow and then fade as they get older. The ones I'm talking about are bright yellow. I've seen only one before. It was canary yellow with a little black speckling. Sense then I have not even heard anyone speak of them.

Thanks
Blaze
