adamjeffery Feb 15, 2007 04:32 PM

well this august i will be staying in ft. lauderdale and will be going to the daytona expo and i would like to do some field herping while im down their. specifically looking to photograph wild corns , scarlet kings and possibly an indigo also any exotics like boas and pythons. tips on where to go would be great but i dont expect anyone to give up their favorite spots or anything but ive nevr been in corn country so i would love to find a wild one
adam
p.s. i will collect a specimen if its exceptional (like zee's golden corn) or completely differant from something that i could just buy, but if i can buy it then i wont chance introducing wild type parasites into my collection.

During the day your chances would be about zero.
Try driving backroads around sunset to a few hours after sunset.
The best bet is to scout out decent backroads during the day.
Take a map!!
Mark you prospective roads on a map so you will know where you are and where you plan to go.
Other then that I can't really help.
Good luck and enjoy the expo.
One of these days I will have to make it down there for the expo.
