LOL Ok so stop me when you get sick of seeing my Uro. I act like no one has ever seen one. I took some great pics today, its been a week and he/she has gained 10 grams, so I wanted to share. He/she spent a few mins today climbing on me, went in the collar of my shirt and went to sleep (flat out on my chest) for about 15 mins or so.. is it ok that I let him/her do that? I haven't had him/her to stay with me that long, it was really sweet and probably warmer there. My husband thought it was too funny, he said; maybe its a male.

It was hard to get an idea of the length / weight of your uro?
Sex is very hard to determine, and for all intents and purposes useless untill they are at least 3 years old.
Weight gain is fantastic!
Keep em eating as much as they want when they are small..they will grow very very fast.

My lil one is only 6 inches and 40 grams. I was told its about 4 months old and CB. The pic you shared is wonderful, what a beautiful animal. I doubt mine is old enough to sex, but I got such great pics, I thought I may as well post them.

Female!!

Arredondo: How sure are you? You know I totally trust you in all this. You haven't steered me wrong thus far, and I totally appreciate it, so does my Uro!

How sure am I? Well, not 100 %. The lack of femoral pores suggests female but I wouldn't lay my bricks on that. We just discovered that a hatchling female Ornate(2 years later) is a male. Sexing at an early age is often a crap shoot. Thanks for the vote of confidence, though!
