Weird Question - Has anyone seen this?

Liann Feb 16, 2007 10:03 AM

I do not have a picture so I will have to describe this the best I can. Yesterday, my hubby called me down to look at something in one of our female breeder's bins. It looked like a pile of white and pinkish colored jello globs. That's the only way to describe them. They were about the size of butter beans and were solid and a clearish white color - one of them was slightly pink. The shapes were oval and there were approximately 5 or 6 of the "objects". My hubby thought maybe it was regurge and these were rat "parts", but I really don't think so. This was a very clean pile, no fur etc... Is it possible that the female somehow expelled her growing follicles or something of that nature? I'm kicking myself for not getting pictures of this. Aside from that pile in the front of the tub, she has some loose poo in the back of the tub - nothing unusual about the poo other than being loose. Anyone seen anything like this? Her last meal was on Sunday.

A while back someone posted a picture of something he found in one of his tubs it looked like a white junior mint (for lack of a better description) it did have a tinge of blood on it and was thought to be something that was expelled as opposed to regurged. I think someone last year mentioned that had found something similar but for the life of me I cannot remember who posted these threads but I don't think it was ever found out what they were - both snakes appeared to go on fine afterwards. It was thought that it was possibly a follicle or something in one of the feeders that the snake wasn't able to digest. In both cases there was only one item found not a pile though?!?!?!

Thanks Tosha, I'll try to find those threads. I kept thinking I had seen a similar question too at one point.

If it were regurge, you'd know right away from the smell! Maybe some mucous related to the stool?
