I'm getting a purple albino retic soon as the prices have dropped dramatically in the last year or two. I notice that some purples look almost like a lavender. Are some purples lighter than others? Thanks!

Could be just the pics that people take that make them look lighter, as well flashes can really wash out their colors. Then again some purples out there advertised as purples really are more of a lavendar or a dark lavendar even.

Yes, What Amelia said! There are the 'in-between' Dark Lav's but Purple IS Purple! here's 3 of my '06's, the 1st is Dark Lav.

Its true the Purples are truly awesome! Its very hard to get a good pic of one but I finally got one! I have kept the white and lavs but the Purples are by far the best looking animals! Big Jim
