Taming my Leopard Gecko

Lithp Feb 16, 2007 02:36 PM

I have a Leopard Gecko, I'd say he's about three or four months and I've had him for about two. When I first got him I handled him fairly regularly to get him comfortable with it, however recently I started to think he may have been ill seeing as how he wasn't digesting his food properly. While I was helping him to start getting better I stopped handling him as much as to not cause him any more stress than needed. After that I went away for a week and had to leave him with my mother and can guarantee he wasn't picked up during that time. Now, being home I've tried to handle him again but he's not having it, he just seems to get uncomfortable and does his best to squirm away.

Okay so now for my question. Is there any way that I can ease him back into being handled again or am I pretty much screwed where that's comcerned. And if so what would be the best way to go about this?

Thanks in advance for any help and suggestions. =]

hah, probably took me just as long to search for my old post on this and link it as it would have to just write something new, but here you are:
