substrate

can i use aquarium gravel as a substrate? if not wha tcan i use thats simulor to aruarium gravel?

I would not use aquarium rocks if I were you. They would be a HUGE risk for impaction. Just think about it.... they are rocks!

I agree with the previous poster.

Suitable substrates for babies and juveniles would be paper towels, newspaper, tile, non-adhesive shelf liner or my favorite reptile carpet.

I think Newspaper is the way to go, I've tired sand and I've been trying newspaper 100 times better and cost effective. For a show tank I would you playground sand. Just from what i have read. But I just wanted to say that this is the #1 ? asked!!!!

Yes i agree with the newspaper, tile, papertowels, i DON't recommend sand for anything. It is the worst substrate, and if you want problems you will get them. Good luck!
