Snake hook question

For those of you that have/use hooks, what size/type/brand do you use? I have boas that are 6-7 feet and probably will reach 8 foot or so. Are the longer 40 inch hooks too long for boas this size? Does anyone use the collapsible hooks? Thanks in advance for your answers.

seldom do i use them, but if needed i have a 36" solid stainless steel snake stick. this has about a 4-5" hook that is covered with a rubber sleeve. very strong! you can find them at lllreptile.com ,hope this helps!

Thanks for the reply. I don't expect to use it much either, but I definitely will on my females after they give birth when they are in that "crazy state of mind".
