Ahhh Shell E

PHRatz Feb 17, 2007 09:54 AM

Yesterday after she bathed & as I prepared her slurry that I was going to make her eat, I tried feeding her waxworms while she waited for me.
She ATE THEM!! All on her own so it looks like this episode of resp. problems is just about over with.
I can't tell you how relieved I am!!
Whew!

Glad to hear that Shell E is doing so well. It will be so good when the warm weather gets here and the indoor turtles can go outdoors and the outdoor turtles come up from hibernating. I can hardly wait! I love the warm weather. ....9boxies

I'm glad she is doing better. They sure can make you worry about them when they aren't acting normal!

I told the vet Friday that I know it's my fault because I'd been letting them walk around & she said.. well ya know it doesn't take much. I knew that I just ....I dunno get too busy sometimes & then the bratty dog does keep me distracted a lot when he's trying to rip the furniture apart lol.

I'm much more careful now. If I feel cold in the house then they aren't doing their walk. :-x

I just bought a nebulizer from ebay for my rats about 15 minutes ago because I always need one.. if she's still snuffly when it gets here, heck I'll nebulize her too.
She ate on her own again yesterday so I'm not going to worry too much now although she still needs to complete her meds.

I plan to put them outside full time in May, hopefully this year they can get acclimated & then live full time outdoors as they should.
