Retic owners in IA should be aware of this. Scroll down to the "animals" category in the scrollbar.

This is almost the exact same bill that is in the Indiana House at the moment thanks to the Humane Society. Don't be fooled people the Humane Society is not your friend!

thats too bad that all herpers have to pay the price for the mistakes of a few knuckleheads.

i really am for a permit/license system. perhaps that would filter out the knuckleheads?

I could be mistaken...but I think this very bill has come up again and again over the years in one form or another and it never passes. I remember hearing some story about it all getting started by some lady who knows nothing about exotic animals but just has decided pretty much on her own that they should not be allowed. Needless to say....I see it failing again. If it did pass though....I would be pretty pissed off. I happen to own some retics and an anaconda.

when is this bill up for vote in the Indiana house , and does it propose more than just registration and knowledge of the species ?

Hate to break it to you, but it wont filter out anything, it will more likely ban them entirely. Im confused as to why that our gov. is so concerned about the reptiles we own but not the neighbor next door breeding pitbulls to fight them.

I live in Kane county, and in an area of Kane county theres laws that say, you are not permitted to own any Snake reptilian that can bite and or constrict.

So that helps us herpers by protecting us from the vicious ball pythons but allows to be attacked by big ass pitbulls

Got to love our country.

They also have aother bill there and want to put E.I.D. Chips in all Exotic wildlife? Also, In the bill it only says Retics, Rocks, and anacondas, so Burms are still just as large and not mentiond period?
