popes pit viper care

i was wondering if anyone knows of a place to find care sheets on theese guys or has any knoledge of there requirments

I find that they are pretty hardy. I've bred them for four years now. Temperatures should be in the 80's, with lows in the 70's. Average humidity seems ok, but they will benefit from misting. I use cypress mulch for substrate, lots of branches, live plants for concealment, and a large water dish.

Neonates are difficult to get feeding on pinks with tease feeding, but will take frogs readily. I just use patience with pinks. Adults take dead mice from tongs readily. House them individually, as they will eat each other, or at least injure each other. They do seem to learn to drink from a dish (whereas some tree vipers always need to be misted for drinking). They are fairly aggressive. I wouldn’t consider these beginner venomous snakes.

I agree with all that, but I had a whole room full of pope's ( my favorite of all time ) , and bred them too , and kept them below 80 F as much as possible, and with my low being 68 F.
