Uros common to the pet trade....

I was wondering how many different types of Uros are commonly kept as pets. Do the different types have very different care needs? New to this forum and any help would be appreciated. Thanks

i'd say the most common and inexpensive are the malis (maliensis) and saharans (geryi) which both go for under $100. ornates are getting pretty popular but those can really break your pocketbook. egyptians and moroccans are also around. i have seen for sale but not frequently in collections: sudanese ocellated (my faves, hoping to get some soon), somali (mcfadyeni), egyptian ocellated, banded, hardwicki, etc etc. for starter uros the malis and saharans seem to be a good an inexpensive way to get into them and they seem to be pretty hardy too.
