BTS fasting?

I have other reptiles who go through a fasting period during the winter months despite their heat sources (which i monitor very carefully) but my skink has been refusing food for the past few weeks and im wondering if this is normal in any of your collections? the skink is 7 and its previous owner did mention that he does this every winter, but i still feel wary about the length of time its been cuz of how vigorous he usually eats.
any comments?

completely normal, just offer water.
