My female has no sense of humor on cage cleaning day.Sorry for the aspen dust on the glass.It is funny that she will take f/t rats from my hands as gentle as a lamb.I can hold her as long as no one is near me.It's the picking up and putting back down part we both find displeasurable.lol.The male has his moments but has yet to draw blood.I do love the world of pits and plan on adding many more.

Man, she's fiesty! Snakes w/ a bit of attitude are cool. I got my wife a female '06 Great Basin Gopher for Christmas. The snake is a well mannered little darling when my wife is holding her, but when she sees me it's all tail rattling and hisses.

How did you get your wife into snakes? I wish my wife would get into them. She only accepts them because I wont rid them.

My wife likes Gophers cuz the ones she's seen are mellow and have great personalities. So I kept that one we got (that's her pictured) and gave it to her for Christmas. It really helps that the snake is very well behaved w/ my wife only. Every time I hold it tail rattles and/or hisses.

All my snakes will hiss and tail rattle on me except my russian rat.The female in the pic didnt mellow out for a couple of hours.I had to put a towel over her glass to keep her from shattering her face.Takes me back to the early eighties and wc burmese and retics.lol.My wife just hates snakes.But she is a great woman who tolerates me and my herps and inverts.
