Suggest a Pet!

CivicChick Feb 18, 2007 06:07 PM

I'm currently trying to decide on my next pet to get. I have experience with amphibians and reptiles but am looking for something different than what I've had. I've had a leopard gecko, which I really enjoyed. I had a red-eyed tree frog which I also liked a lot, but would like something a little bit more active. Most recently, I had white's tree frogs. I have recently moved into my own apt. and my roommate is not too crazy about having crickets in here since they constantly escape. So I'm thinking about what kind of small pet I could get that would be vegetarian, and relatively low maintenance (compared to say, the RETF; please refrain from any lectures about how all pets require care, because I'm aware of that and willing to provide it). Any suggestions? Thanks!

you have the space. I've got a couple that I raised indoors for a while but now live in my back yard year round. They are currently in hibernation (brumation) waiting for spring to warm things up. Mine live mostly on a vegatable/fruit/berry diet but I offer worms and other insects also. They make wonderful pets. Check out the box turtle forum.
