Heating/Lighting

Casper06 Feb 18, 2007 06:59 PM

I've been thinking about getting a leo. I've read some care sheets, but I wanted to be sure about the heating and lighting. What kind of lights are best? Do they need UVA or UVB? And do the light need to be kept on at night?
Thanks for an info!

No the light doesnt need to be on at night as geckos can tolerate temps of 70 to 75 degrees at night. So as long as the temps dont go below that it will be good until the morning. Then you should turn the light back on.

Leos do not need UVA or UVB As they are nocturnal in nature.
