Keep them warm by sticking them near the heaters in the car but they should be ok if its only a 3 hour drive. Should not die unless they are fed poison. Maybe let them have a cricket or 2 when u pick them up for the ride back to ur place. You know that they need a certain temp, calcium, crickets dusted, humid hide and things like that right?

I agree, they shouldn't have any problems with a 3 hour road trip in a warm car. When I vend reptile shows I'll have them in there display containers for up to 48 hours without any problems. As long as ther not left in the car overnight in freezing weather they should be ok.
Also I would not give them any food befor traveling. If anything I would have the person your getting them from with hold food from them 24 to 48 hours befor you pick them up. If they have food in there digestive system while traveling you run a risk of them regurgitating due to the tempeture drop & other stresses caused from being moved from one place to another.

Good point and great advice...
They will be fine on the 3 hour trip...

thank for all your advice!! we have a few geckos at home. should we put air holes in the lid? or is the trip shot enough?

A few vent holes would be good. The containers I use have holes on the side towards the top.
