New amel, can't/won't shed,

LynnR Feb 19, 2007 10:20 AM

I bought a really big female a couple of weeks ago, she's almost obese, that was in the 'blue' and has yet to shed. I've not fed her because she's ill tempered and has got to be uncomfortable and I really don't want to 'waste' the mouse. I've got a big water bowl in her tank for her to get in if she needs to. Heat gradient is 85 to 70, she stays on the cool side most of the time. I can't think of anything else to do exceipt wait. / Anybody got any ideas?

They will typically shed two to five days AFTER the eyes TOTALLY clear up,....., best regards,.......................Doug

I usually cover half of the lid of the tank, if it is a screen lid, and then move the water bowl to the hot end of the cage. This had helped any problems with sheds.
