Hey hey, has anyone out there tried the new mercury vapor bulb by exo-terra called "Solar-Glo"? It comes in 125w and 160w. I am using a 100w Zoo med powersun which I have faith in as a good bulb, but if these are better I'll be all over them like a pudgy kid on cake! Just want some feedback on these bulbs, thanx a bunch, peace.

I'm just not a believer in MVB's? I have the Powersun 100 and 160W like yours. I'm just not impressed, they don't put out the heat that I thought they would. I only bought them a month ago based on some rave reviews here.

I'm going to have to buy a UVB meter to see if the amount of UVB they put out is really worth the cost and hastle of any MVB.

yeah, the heat is the one complaint i have too. I have to have a 75w light buy my powersun to give it a good basking temp. to know the uvb output of the powersun would be nice too. They got to give more uvb then tubes or sprials cause it kills my eyes to look at it for a nanosecond.

i dont know that licht yet,but .
i know the brand and they also have exo terra reptiglo 5.0
they also ahve the 10.0 version but am alsways carefull with those high numbers
they r just like the compact licht 5.0 of zoomed.
but this onses have a spiral tube and not long shape.
and it give of very much yellow licht and not blue like the other compacts give.
i buy on reptile show for 11,50 euro a 13 watt licht and it give more licht then the mercury lichts .
they also have a 26 version.
they first results r good i am using it now for 2 month i gues and it stil give much licht .
